Skills and memory

Memory is what she knows about your agency: your clients, how you write, what you decided last week. Skills are how she does a job: the steps, the format, the checks. You can read, correct and teach both, and everything you teach compounds.

For everyone

Until then, the steps below cover everything in it.

Step by step

  1. 1

    She learns three ways

From your website, which fills Your company facts. From her work with you: after each piece of work she keeps what mattered. And from you, when you hand her a document or correct her.

  2. 2

    Correct, do not retry

Asking again in other words fixes one answer. Tell her the rule instead, starting with "From now on". She asks you to confirm, because a standing rule applies to everyone, and every later answer follows it.

  3. 3

See, edit and forget what she knows

An owner or admin can open the Memory page: your company facts, what she learned for the workspace, and their own memories. Edit facts there or in Settings, Brand Kit, and use Forget to remove a memory. Anyone can ask her in chat what she knows, or tell her to forget something.

  4. 4

Ask her what she is missing

After a week, ask her straight out what context she is missing to do the job better. Fill the gaps she names.

  5. 5

Turn good work into a skill

Finish a piece of work you like and say "turn this into a skill". She takes the steps from the conversation and asks only about the gaps: you answer, she writes. She also asks for three examples, one that went right, one that went wrong and one too unclear to call, then reads the playbook back and asks before she saves.

  6. 6

    Share it, then test it

A new skill is on for you only. An owner or admin shares it with Move to team in its menu on the Skills page; a teammate can choose Ask an admin to share this. A few days later, ask for the job without naming the skill. If it comes out right, the skill works.

  7. 7

Use the skills that come with her

Skills, Discover is the catalog of ready-made skills, such as Google Ads Audit. Most are already on for the whole team; a card that shows Add is off until someone adds it. Filter by tool or search, and an owner or admin can use Configure to fit a skill to your setup.

A rule or a skill?

One sentence you are tired of repeating is a standing rule: start it with "From now on". A whole job with steps, a format and checks is a skill.

Try these in her DM

Copy one, fill in the brackets, and send it.

From now on, always write client updates in short sentences and plain language.

Turn this into a skill called [name].

What context are you missing to do our client reporting better?
