Moz and Search Console, authority put to work.

Moz tells you how much authority a page carries. Search Console tells you what it actually ranks for. Patricia reads both, so Domain Authority stops being a number to admire and starts telling you where to point the next internal link.

The move that turns an authority score into a ranking gain:

@Pati we've got queries stuck just below page one for Northwind. Which of our own pages have the authority to link them up? Cross Moz with Search Console.

Good lever to pull. I matched the striking-distance queries in Search Console with the pages that carry the most authority in Moz:

  • "content marketing framework" sits at position 11.4 in Search Console, one internal link short of page one
  • The pricing guide is your strongest page in Moz, Page Authority 52, and it has no link to the framework post yet
  • Two more stuck queries have the same fix, a link from a high-Page-Authority page you already own

Perfect, add those internal links. And is our Spam Score still clean after last month's link push?

PatriciaAppJust now

Internal link changes are drafted for the three pages, ready for you to approve before they go live. On the link push: Spam Score is still 2%, nothing risky came in, and Search Console shows no manual actions or coverage flags, so the new links are helping, not hurting. All in this week's report.

What Moz and Google Search Console do together.

Each is useful alone. Joined, they answer the question neither can on its own.

Point a high-Page-Authority page at a striking-distance query

Search Console surfaces the queries stuck at positions 8 to 20. Moz shows which of your own pages carry the most Page Authority. She matches them, so an internal link that pushes a ranking to page one comes from a page strong enough to move it.

Check whether a ranking drop lines up with a Spam Score risk

When Search Console shows positions slipping, one cause is a link profile drifting toward risky. She reads Moz Spam Score against the drop and checks Search Console for manual actions, so you know whether it is a spam signal to disavow or something else entirely.

Confirm a link placement went live and then moved the ranking

Moz verifies whether a specific source actually links to a target URL. She confirms the placement is live, then watches Search Console for the impressions and position lift on that page, so you can tell the client the link earned its keep, not just that it posted.

Fix high-impression, low-CTR queries on pages with the authority to hold them

A page ranking on page one with weak clicks needs a snippet rewrite, and it is worth doing on pages that already carry authority. She joins the low-CTR queries in Search Console with Page Authority in Moz, so the title and meta rewrites go where the ranking is defensible.

Report authority next to the rankings it actually earned

Domain Authority, Spam Score, and the link profile from Moz alongside real queries, impressions, and positions from Search Console, in one client report. She shows authority as a trend tied to rankings, not a lone number with no outcome behind it.

How it works

Moz and Google Search Console, connected in minutes.

1

Add Patricia to Slack

She joins your workspace like any teammate. Two minutes, no engineering.

2

Connect Moz and Google Search Console

One approval for Moz, one OAuth click for each verified property. She gets only the access you approve, and you can disconnect her anytime.

3

Ask

Mention @Pati with the question. Both sides are read-only, so she reads the authority and the rankings and comes back with the answer, not two dashboards.

Things to ask her.

FAQ

Moz + Google Search Console, answered.

What does connecting Moz and Google Search Console together let Patricia do?

She reads Domain Authority, Page Authority, Spam Score, and the link profile from Moz and the real queries, impressions, CTR, and positions from Search Console, then joins them. That turns authority into action: which page can carry an internal link to a stuck query, whether a drop is a spam risk, and whether a placement actually moved a ranking. Neither tool connects authority to real rankings on its own.

Does she change anything on her own?

No. Both Moz and Search Console are read-only for her, so the analysis runs free. She drafts internal-link changes and flags rewrites, but publishing them or resubmitting a sitemap waits for your yes in Slack.

Is Domain Authority something she improves on command?

No, and she will not pretend otherwise. Domain Authority and Page Authority are directional signals, not KPIs you move directly. She uses them to decide which page carries a link best and reports the trend, but the real target is the rankings in Search Console.

Do I need both connected?

For the joined view, yes. Moz is the authority and link-profile side, Search Console is Google's own record of what you rank for. Each works on its own, this page is about what they do together.

Does this work across all our client accounts?

Yes. Connect each client's Moz data and verified Search Console property, and every client's data stays walled off from the rest.
