The four ways AI coworkers are priced, what 10 and 20 seats cost at each vendor, how usage credits work, and what an agency should budget.

AI coworker pricing comes in four shapes: per seat (ChatGPT Business, Claude Team, Microsoft 365 Copilot), per active user plus credits (Lindy), per workspace plus credits (Patricia), or a monthly budget you pick (Junior). For a team of 20, per-seat plans cost $360 to $504 a month at published prices, Lindy $999.80, and Patricia's workspace plan starts at $45 a month, with credits on top as you use more.

Every price below comes from the vendor's own pricing page, fetched on 28 October 2026, with the plan name and billing period. Where a price isn't public, we say so.

How does AI coworker pricing work?

The pricing model decides what makes your bill grow, which matters more than the starting price.

  • Per seat. A fixed price per user. The bill grows with headcount, and each person gets a private assistant. ChatGPT Business, Claude Team and Microsoft 365 Copilot work this way.
  • Per active user, plus credits. Each person who uses the tool takes a paid seat that adds credits to a shared pool. The bill grows with headcount and usage. Lindy Team works this way.
  • Per workspace, plus credits. One price for the team, with credits included. The bill grows with the work, and adding a person costs nothing. Patricia works this way.
  • Monthly budget. You choose what to spend each month and the work draws it down. Junior works this way.
  • Quote only. No public price. Coworker's pricing page lists one Enterprise plan, "Tailored to your organization."

Worked example: what 10 and 20 seats cost per month

First, what fits in Patricia's $45 a month for a real agency month. Then the table compares that with the other plans.

Our product: two worked bills

Example A: 12 clients, any number of seats. A weekly client report for each client is about 52 reports a month, or 15,600 credits. Add 20 content briefs at 3,000 credits. Total: 18,600 credits, inside the 20,000 included. Bill: $45.

Example B: 25 clients, any number of seats. About 108 weekly reports (32,400 credits), 40 briefs (6,000) and 8 campaign builds (9,464). Total: 47,864 credits, so 27,864 above the included 20,000. Three 10,000-credit top-ups at $22.50 each cover it ($67.50), and the 2,136 left over roll over. Bill: about $113.

Averages, not quotes. Your jobs can cost more or less. Top-ups come in packs from 10,000 credits, and any leftover rolls over.

These products do different jobs. A per-seat plan gives every person a private assistant for writing and research. A workspace coworker is one shared teammate for recurring work, and with Patricia each person can also chat with her privately, in a direct message or the console. The table compares list prices, not the work each one does. Workspace and budget plans also bill usage above what's included, covered next.

If each person only wants a private assistant for writing and research, a per-seat ChatGPT or Claude plan does that job. Patricia covers both: every person can chat with her privately, in a direct message or the console, and the whole agency shares her for client work, with every seat included. If you already pay for Microsoft 365 and live in Outlook, Word and Teams, the Copilot add-on fits where you work. Junior is self-serve. Patricia gives every agency a dedicated onboarding: we set Patricia up with you, on your own client work. Self-serve onboarding, with step-by-step tutorial videos, launches soon. How do usage-based credits work?

A credit is how a vendor meters work: model time, tool calls, steps. Bigger jobs use more. Every vendor defines its own credit, so the same number of credits buys different amounts of work at different companies. Don't compare credit counts or price per credit across vendors. Run one real job on each and compare what that job cost.

Patricia's credits are metered to the work. Each task shows a typical cost up front, then bills what it actually took. Averages from our pricing page:

  • Ad variants and quick drafts: about 56 credits (about $0.13)
  • Posts and content briefs: about 150 credits (about $0.34)
  • Client reports and research: about 300 credits (about $0.68)
  • Campaign builds: about 1,183 credits (about $2.66)
  • A monthly AI visibility report: about 800 credits per client (about $1.80)

Extra credits cost $2.25 per 1,000 at the base rate, with up to 25% off in bulk (2,000,000 credits at 25% off). Credit packs are for paying plans. Unused credits roll over. When credits run out, Patricia pauses and asks.

What should an agency budget for an AI coworker?

When we asked ChatGPT in October 2026 what a team of 20 should budget, it suggested $500 to $2,000 a month. The list prices above give a tighter range. Budget for the job you're buying:

  • A private assistant for every person: $20 to $25 per person a month. That's $200 to $250 for 10 people and $400 to $500 for 20.
  • Copilot on top of Microsoft 365: $18 to $25.20 per person a month, plus your Microsoft 365 plan.
  • A shared coworker for recurring client work: $45 to about $150 a month on a workspace plan for the volumes in the examples above. Per-active-user plans scale with headcount instead.
  • Review time: someone approves drafts before they go to clients. Name that person per client and count their time.

Some agencies keep both: a per-seat assistant for writing, and a shared coworker for the reports, alerts and follow-ups. Each person can also chat with Patricia privately, so check whether you still need the seats. For a team of 20, both together cost roughly $445 to $650 a month at the prices above.

AI coworker pricing FAQ

How much does an AI coworker cost per month for a team of 20?

At list prices checked on 28 October 2026, per-seat plans for 20 people cost $360 to $504 a month (ChatGPT Business, Claude Team, the Microsoft 365 Copilot Business add-on) and $999.80 for Lindy Team if all 20 use it. Workspace plans start at the same price at any headcount: Patricia's Founding plan $45 a month per workspace, every seat included, and Junior from $100. Both are usage-based, so more work means more credits on top.

How much does an AI employee cost?

Some vendors sell this kind of tool as an AI employee, others as an AI coworker. Published prices run from $45 a month per workspace with every seat included (Patricia's Founding plan) to about $50 per active user a month (Lindy Team), and some, such as Coworker, publish no price. The bigger cost is usage: most bill credits for the work done, so price one real job before you compare.

Is AI agent pricing per seat?

Sometimes. ChatGPT Business, Claude Team and Microsoft 365 Copilot are per seat. Lindy bills each active user. Patricia bills per workspace with no per-seat charge, and Junior bills a monthly budget you choose.

How much does an AI agent cost for a small agency?

For a shared AI coworker doing recurring client work, a small agency can expect roughly $45 to $150 a month on a workspace plan at the volumes in our examples, depending on how much work it runs. Per-seat chat assistants for everyone add $20 to $25 per person a month.

Can I compare credits between AI coworker vendors?

No. A credit is a different unit at each vendor, so 20,000 credits at one company and 20,000 at another do not buy the same work. Run the same real job on each and compare what it cost.

Is there a free trial?

Yes: with Patricia, $100 of free credits after a card check, plus a dedicated onboarding to set it up with you. Junior gives a $100 credit for a limited time, once per workspace or business domain, and Lindy $50 in credits that last 7 days.

What happens when the credits run out?

It depends on the vendor. When Patricia's credits run out, she pauses and asks. You can set a monthly spend cap, with an alert before you reach it, and unused credits roll over. Lindy pauses credit-using actions until your credits reset at the start of the next cycle; you can top up anytime at $10 per 1,000 credits.
